For the First Time (Silent Video #1)

Water Reflections (Rough Sketch #5)

This idea was to keep the same image in the reflections of the water but changing the viewing angle so the ground beneath changed along with the color. See the Video here.

Snow Run (Rough Sketch #4)

Link
The snow run was an idea I had to create the clear impression of movement. It ended up being one of the most successful sketches. See the video here.

Tree Shadows (Rough Sketch #3)

The idea is pretty simple but also very interesting to watch. The shadows created by the trees are very organic by nature and the fact that it is against a palate of concrete makes for an interesting juxtaposition. See it here.

Close-Ups (Rough Sketch #2)

These Photos are all shot around the same area at very close range. the idea was to take photos of completely different things and see how well they blend together when they are seen one after the other. See it here.

ManHole Cover (Rough Sketch #1)

Here is the swirling man hole cover in the middle of the street. They are mostly short video clips, but there are a couple still frames. This is the only rough sketch I did that wasn't all still shots. See it here.

My Image Capturing Strategy

The idea I had was to capture images that had distinct patterns, then rotate the filming or capturing angle to create the feeling of disorientation.

The Drift Strategy For My Video Recordings

The drift began by walking against the flow of the water caused by melting snow. When I felt like I made it to a point where I wanted to return home I began to follow the interesting shadows caused by the trees along the sidewalks.
